We are:

  • proposing a target of 90% of rivers and lakes swimmable by 2040
  • seeking feedback on proposed amendments to the National Policy Statement for Freshwater Management (public submissions closed on Friday 28 April 2017)
  • inviting applications for the Freshwater Improvement Fund (the 2017 funding round has now closed for applications)
  • seeking feedback on the detail of policy proposals for excluding stock from waterways (public submissions closed on Friday 28 April 2017).
