Purpose of the regulations
The Resource Management (Forms, Fees, and Procedure) Regulations 2003 outline the procedures and information required when engaging in RMA processes, including both plan-making and resource consenting. The regulations also set out the general procedures, forms and fees for Environment Court processes.
Schedule 1 of the regulations prescribes the forms to use when carrying out processes under the RMA.
Schedule 2 of the regulations sets the fees for various applications that are made to central government under the Resource Management Act 1991.
Schedule 3 of the regulations set the fees payable in respect of proceedings in the Environment Court.
Resource Management (Forms, Fees, and Procedure) Regulations 2003 [NZ legislation website] were passed on 30 June 2003 and came into effect on 1 August 2003.
These regulations were last amended as a result of the Resource Management Amendment Act 2020, the amendments took effect on 3 September 2020.
