The Ministry for the Environment has developed an Urban Design Toolkit to support the implementation of the New Zealand Urban Design Protocol.
The Toolkit illustrates the tools available to help create high quality urban environments. It includes a set of common terms to describe tools and processes, outlines their purpose, their application and gives references, examples and illustrations. The Urban Design Toolkit is a resource that can be used by the signatories to the Urban Design Protocol and everyone involved in urban design.
What’s new in the third edition?
The third edition of the Toolkit provides 10 new tools and over 100 new examples and references from New Zealand and overseas.
The Toolkit is a living, web-base resource and we encourage your comments and contributions. Please contact us by email firstname.lastname@example.org.
