Text description of figure
The figure shows two bar graphs of seasonal precipitation for summer (top), and autumn (bottom), spanning the period of 1878-2004. The height of the bar indicates the amount of rainfall as a percentage of the 1971-2000 normal. The seasonal rainfall varies a lot through the period, ranging between about 50% and 200% of normal. Summers were notably wetter during 1940-1960, and autumns drier during 1925-1950. The long-term trend, superimposed on the histogram bars, indicates a slight increase in summer rainfall and little change in autumn.
