The Government is working to improve our resource management system. It is focusing on the Resource Management Act 1991 (RMA) – the primary legislation governing the use of our land, water and air resources.
This section has tools that have been implemented under the RMA to direct how the Act should be administered and applied. The tools covered are national environmental standards, national policy statements, national planning standards and section 360 regulations.
