The Te Mana o Te Wai Fund provided funding for projects that support or enable iwi/hapū to improve the water quality of freshwater bodies, including lakes, rivers, streams, estuaries and lagoons. The fund is now closed for applicants.
The Fresh Start for Fresh Water Clean-up Fund allocated $14.5 million from 2011 to 2014 to seven projects to restore waterways affected by historical pollution.
