Adaptation is essential to help minimise the risks of climate change and maximise the opportunities.  Meeting attendees were asked about ideas on the measures that can be taken to give your communities greater resilience to climate impacts and extremes and to be in a position to take advantage of opportunities.

More than ever before, consumers are demanding a commitment from business and government to environmental sustainability. In response, business interest in environmentally sustainable development is increasing. Meeting attendees were asked about their views on on the government’s tools and guidance to assist this transition.

National guidance under the RMA

Key points raised on national guidance under the RMA

National environmental standards and national policy statements are instruments issued under the Resource Management Act that help ensure our resources are managed appropriately. Meeting attendees were asked about their views on a number of proposed national environmental standards and policy statements such as sources of human drinking water, electricity transmission, water measuring devices and freshwater management.
