Environment Centre Fund
Aim of the Fund
The aim of the fund is to help Environment Centres provide projects, activities and services that empower communities to take action that materially improves environmental quality. An environment centre is defined as a place that is accessible to the general public and whose key activities are to:
- facilitate, motivate and inform existing and new groups within the community to take action that materially improves environmental quality
- provide environmental information and education services for the community
- act as a focus and meeting place for community action on environmental issues.
Future funding
Funds were allocated to the following Environment Centre’s for the period commencing 1 July 2007 to 30 June 2010. The next funding round will be held in 2010.
