The Ministry for the Environment held meetings in June with industry and non-government organisations (NGOs) to discuss the government's programme to improve the Resource Management Act.
The meetings with industry took place on 28 June in Wellington and 30 June in Auckland. These were hosted by Ministry for the Environment Chief Executive Barry Carbon and Ministry of Economic Development Chief Executive Geoff Dangerfield.
The meeting with NGOs took place on 29 June in Wellington. It was hosted by Barry Carbon and Department of Conservation Director-General Hugh Logan.
