STOP 3: WAERENGA ROAD CROSSING - Towers 120 and 121.

Cozen Road

STOP 4: COZEN ROAD.

Parties present: Nath Pritchard, Robson and Lorraine Storey, Andrew Thurlow, John Thurlow.

Notes: Nath Pritchard explains and points out what will be seen in the next 16 kilometres of road, in regards to road repairs and maintenance required from the construction of the switching station. He advises the south-bound lane was ‘hammered’ from truck movements, and road damage has been caused from the maintenance travels to the switching station, and points to an example of this on Cozen Road.


Cozen Road

STOP 5: COZEN ROAD BLOWOUT #1 - Example of ‘heaving’.

Notes: Nath Pritchard points out how the pavement has been pushed out, and explains that the pavement is not robust and gets damaged, as it is not for the construction type use. Andrew Thurlow points out tower heights and trees in the distance.

STOP 6: COZEN ROAD BLOWOUT #2.

Notes: Nath Pritchard shows road blowout caused by pavement damage. He advises these roads were not made to take weight.
