The Board of Inquiry for the Te Mihi Geothermal Power Station Proposal gives notice under section 101(3) of the Resource Management Act that it will hear submissions and applications for resource consent for Contact Energy Limited’s proposed new Te Mihi geothermal power station:

Time: 10.00 am
Venue: Huka Falls Resort, 56 Huka Falls Road, Taupo

Board of Inquiry:

The Board is chaired by Judge Gordon Whiting, and the members are Dr Patrick Browne, Mr Denis Nugent and Mrs Glenice Paine.

Order of proceedings:

The inquiry hearing will commence on the 21 July with opening statements from the applicant, Contact Energy Limited.  The Board will then retire for the remainder of that week to read all the evidence that has been provided. 

The hearing will then begin again on Monday 28 July 2008 with all pre-circulated evidence being taken as read.  Further detail will be published on the Board of Inquiry’s web pages in due course.
