Using River Habitat Classification in Regional Plans

In this report Murray McLea considers whether rivers in the Wellington region can be divided into areas based on the similarities and differences of their physical and ecological characteristics, and looks at how the river classification system being developed by NIWA and the Ministry for the Environment could be used in regional plans.
