Economic Instruments for Managing Water Quality in New Zealand

This report, commissioned as part of the Water Programme of Action, describes potential opportunities for using economic instruments to manage the impacts of land use on water quality. A framework to assess different approaches has been developed and two case studies are presented in the report.
