These can be compared to the quality of the raw (RAW) incoming domestic influent (BOD range 275-325; SS range 250-380): septic tanks (ST) (BOD range 110-150; SS range 30-110), an aerated wastewater treatment system (AWTS) (BOD range 20-40; SS range 25-50) and the sand filter (BOD range 10-25; SS range 10-30).
