Disposal of unwanted electrical and electronic products information sheets
This is a series of information sheets about the safe environmental disposal of four common household electronic products: batteries, mobile phones, computer equipment and household lamps. The information sheets explain why these special wastes should be disposed of carefully and give information about other considerations a consumer could make when buying and using these products. The information sheets in this series include:
- The safe use and disposal of batteries. Advice for households on how to safely dispose of different battery types and tips on environmentally sound use.
- The safe disposal of mobile phones. Advice for consumers on the recycling schemes available for mobile phones and tips on environmentally sound purchasing decisions.
- The safe use and disposal of your computer equipment. Advice for households on environmentally sound purchasing, reuse and recycling of used computer equipment, including a section on toner cartridges.
- The safe use and disposal of household lamps. Advice for households on environmentally sound purchasing and disposal of household lamps (light bulbs).
