This chart is a matrix with the 'roles' in urban design (i.e. developers; political decision-makers; policy planners; consent planners; transport planners; planners; surveyors; architects; landscape architects; urban designers and the community) heading the columns and the 'elements' of urban design (i.e. city structure; street pattern; block and lot pattern; public space quality; land and building use; ecology; building bulk and form; orientation to public space; building elevations and building detail and materials) heading the rows. The matrix uses symbols to show the relationship between the different roles and their power, responsibility, influence and interest levels over/in the different elements.
