A proposal for Land Cover Database 2

This report follows on from a national land cover seminar convened by the Ministry for the Environment in Wellington on 15 October 1999, (MfE 1999). The seminar updated attendees on progress with the current Land Cover Database, (LCDB1) and explored opportunities for a collaborative approach to maintaining a land cover description of New Zealand. For this to happen, agreement on the classification, sensor, timing, participation, project management and funding is required.
