This report analyses the identified Taranaki and Otago monitoring indicators for sustainable land use, and indicator recommendations from the NEIP Land report, against the policy framework and criteria supplied by the Ministry to compare these indicators (and approaches), establish whether these indicators and approaches are policy relevant for sustainable land management, and identify the "best fit" indicators and approaches for sustainable land use monitoring at the time.
