This report consists of a review and policy analysis of current land monitoring for national environmental indicators, and a prioritisation of land monitoring parameters and indicators which provides recommendations for a preliminary core set of land indicators, focusing on the Taranaki Regional Council approach to monitoring sustainable land use in the hill country.
