This figure shows the distribution of irrigation consents on a map of New Zealand. The map also displays the regional boundaries. Irrigation consents are distributed through out the country. Areas with higher numbers of irrigation consents in the North Island include Auckland, Bay of Plenty and the Hawke’s Bay regions. In the South Island the Canterbury region has the highest number of irrigation consents.
