Text description of figure

This figure shows the changes in ecological condition for measured North Island lakes. All lakes measured in Northland are declining in ecological condition. The Waikato is the only region with lakes improving in ecological condition but the majority of the Waikato Lakes are either stable or declining in ecological condition. The majority of the Bay of Plenty lakes are either stable or declining in ecological condition. Only one lake outside of these three regions was measured. It is in the Manawatu-Wanganui region and its ecological condition is declining.
