- a set of sampling designed to be extrapolated to give an estimate for a wider geographic region (e.g. sample traffic on roads in a RCA to give an estimate for the whole RCA)
- Temporal sampling
- a set of sampling designed to be extrapolated to give an estimate for a longer period of time (e.g. sample for one week, and extrapolate to give an estimate for one year)
- VKT
- vehicle kilometres travelled in one year
