Data set Abstract Stage

Shellfish contaminants This is a data set of the concentration and distribution of contaminants found in the green lipped mussel. This is intended to indicate the state of the environment and to assess the significance of contaminant levels for public health and ecosystem protection. This data set is in development and is currently limited to a report:
Coffey,B.T. 1994. Commentary on a proposed shellfish monitoring programme: coastal marine area: Waikato region. Brian T. Coffey and Associates Ltd., Hamilton.

Estuarine vegetation Maps of the main vegetation communities and inventory of threats, surrounding land use etc. in estuaries in the Waikato. The vegetation has been mapped on aerial photographs and this information is being digitised.

Coastal hazard lines This establishes development setbacks for coastal development based on flooding and erosion risks.

Coastal development This identifies the density of development and the length of sandy beach developed.
