Note: The ANOVA F values have been averaged over the three datasets then scaled to maximum 0.5 so they could be plotted on the same scale as the other data. The variables are ordered by the average of their marginal contribution to results that were based on the tree and BVSTEP analyses.

A bar graph compares the results of the validation analyses for each environmental variable modelled for the shelf dataset. Validation results were expressed as the proportion of variability explained by the model / analysis method. Analytical methods shown species trees, community group trees, BVSTEP, ANOVA scaled F value and CCA.
