The top correlation (scatter) plot shows a good degree of correlation between TN (axis range: 10-10,000 mg/m3) against Chla (axis range: 0.1-1000 mg/m3) at low and high values and a strong pattern of shallow lakes having lower values for both variables than deeper lakes. The bottom correlation (scatter) plot shows a good degree of correlation between TP (1-1000 mg/m3) and Chla at low values but slightly more scatter at high values. There is a strong pattern of shallow lakes having lower values for both variables than deeper lakes.
