Text description of figure

Top graph is a histogram comparing the raw total nitrogen (TN) data that is heavily skewed to the left (i.e. many low values) with log-tranfomed data that forms a normal (bell-shaped) distribution. The bottom graph is a box and whisker plot that shows the normally distributed (i.e. log-transformed) data for the 4 elements of the TLI (Chla, Secchi, TN and TP) as medians, ranges and outliers (refer to figure note for further description).
