  • 315,840 hectares from within West Coast
  • 10,230 hectares imported from other regions within New Zealand
  • 14,640 hectares imported from other nations.

Household consumption in West Coast (the ecological footprint) has embodied land of:

  • 104,800 hectares from Intermediate Demand
  • 5,930 hectares from within West Coast
  • 580 hectares imported from other regions within New Zealand
  • 10,580 hectares imported from other nations.

West Coast is exporting:

  • 69,650 hectares of embodied land to other regions within New Zealand
  • 166,260 hectares of embodied land to other nations.
