  • 638,060 hectares from within Marlborough
  • 9,810 hectares imported from other regions within New Zealand
  • 24,140 hectares imported from other nations.

Household consumption in Marlborough (the ecological footprint) has embodied land of:

  • 142,330 hectares from Intermediate Demand
  • 7,780 hectares from within Marlborough
  • 740 hectares imported from other regions within New Zealand
  • 12,960 hectares imported from other nations.

Marlborough is exporting:

  • 59,320 hectares of embodied land to other regions within New Zealand
  • 470,360 hectares of embodied land to other nations.
