The graph shows the number of cases waiting for a hearing in the Environment Court, from 1993/94 to 2003/04. Cases rose steadily from 500 in 1993/94 to 3000 in 2000/01. Cases began dropping in 2001/02, and by the end of February 2004 the caseload had been cut to 1498 cases.
