Draft Users' Guide: National Environmental Standard for Assessing and Managing Contaminants in Soil to Protect Human Health
The Resource Management (National Environmental Standard for Assessing and Managing Contaminants in Soil to Protect Human Health) Regulations 2011 took effect on 1 January 2012. This document explains the regulations and provides guidance to territorial and unitary authorities on implementing the NES.
A copy of the regulations is included in Appendix A of the guide or can be downloaded from the New Zealand Legislation website.
The Ministry will publish a final guide in March 2012.
