Discount Regulations:
Discount regulations are required by new section 36AA of the Resource Management Act 1991 (RMA). These regulations will require local authorities to provide a discount on administrative charges when the local authority is responsible for applications for a resource consent or applications to change or cancel conditions not being processed within timeframes set in the RMA.
The Ministry for the Environment is seeking feedback on the issues and options outlined in this paper. Feedback is due no later than 5.00pm 1 March 2010.
