The emissions of PM10 per kilogram of fuel, in grams are: 9 for an open fire, 1 for a wood burner (best), 14 for a wood burner (worst), 14 for a multi-fuel burner using wood, 22 for an open coal fire, 18 for an enclosed coal burner, 0 for flued gas, 0 for unflued gas, 2 for a wood pellet burner, 1 for a diesel burner and 1 for diesel central heating.
