This is a bar graph showing the range of operating cost for each individual heating method. The costs are measured in units of cents per kilo watt hours. The ranges are: 9.1 for diesel central heating, 10.2 to 12.6 for diesel burners, 7.4 to 7.6 for wood pellet central heating, 7.4 to 9.1 for wood pellet burners, 7.3 to 17.5 for flued gas using reticulated gas, 19.9 to 22.3 for unflued gas using bottles, 14.3 to 21.4 for flued gas using bottles, 8.4 for electric night stores, 6.5 to 8.9 for heat pumps, 9.4 to 10.6 for electric underfloor heating, 19.5 for electric panel, 19.5 for electric radiant, 19.5-19.9 for electric fan heaters, 7.3 to 10 for enclosed coal burners, 5.4 to 9.6 for enclosed wood burners and 7.1 to 10 for enclosed multi-fuel burners.
