Accessing electronic publications
Most publications are available electronically for viewing online or downloading, generally as both standard web pages (HTML) and PDF files (Portable Document Format). To open and print PDF files you will need Adobe Acrobat Reader, which is available free from the Adobe website.
Some of our older publications are only available electronically in PDF, which may make it difficult for some people to access them. If you have difficulty accessing a PDF-only publication, please email our webmaster to discuss alternative access options, including the possibility of having the document converted to standard web pages (HTML). Please include details of the document you want to access and the difficulty you are having.
Sustainable Management Fund project results
We make copies of the results of projects funded by the Sustainable Management Fund available through this website. Often these are available online as PDF only, as we do not have control over their source. Alternative access options (such as print or CD) may be available from the organisation that completed the project (contact details are provided in the project details). If you have difficulty in accessing these documents please email our webmaster with the details and we will endeavour to help you.
Printing PDFs
It can be difficult to print large PDFs over the internet so we recommend that you save PDF files to your computer before trying to print them. To save a file to your computer:
- On a PC, use your mouse to right-click on the link to the document and choose "Save target as..." (wording may vary) from the menu that appears.
- On a Mac, hold down the Control key while you use your mouse to click on the link to the document and choose "Download link to disk" (wording may vary) from the menu that appears.
