Review of New Zealand’s 2007 Net Position Report

November 2007, Ref. CR42

This document presents the findings of a review of New Zealand's 2007 net position report (September 2007) which describes the 2007 estimate of New Zealand's net position with respect to its Kyoto target over the first commitment period. 

The review was prepared by AEA Energy and Environment, the Policy Studies Institute and the Centre for Ecology and Hydrology.  The same team also completed an in-depth review of New Zealand's 2005 greenhouse gas projections methodology. 

The aims of the document published here were to assess whether the recommendations made in the team's 2005 review had been implemented, identify any further areas for improvement and examine the approach taken to assess uncertainty.
