This figure shows the current minimum temperature by city for the North and South Islands of New Zealand, calculated as the mid-winter daily average. Minimum temperatures range from 8.4°C in Kaitaia on the northern end of the North Island to -1.6°C in Alexandra on the southern end of the South Island.
