Text description of figure

Projected changes in seasonal mean temperature (in degrees Celsius) over New Zealand for the 2080's relative to 1990 for the middle of the IPCC range of scenarios. Summer: Northland, 2.0-3.0 degrees; rest of North Island and North of South Island, 1.5-2.0 degrees; rest of South Island 1.0-1.5 degrees.

Autumn: Northland, Auckland, Gisborne and Northern Hawkes Bay, 2.0-3.0 degrees; rest of New Zealand 1.5-2.0 degrees.

Winter: 2.0-3.0 degrees, apart from Southland and coastal Otago where the projected change is between 1.5 and 2.0 degrees.

Spring: North Island, north and east of the South Island, 1.5-2.0 degrees; isolated areas of eastern Northland and northern Gisborne, 2.0-3.0 degrees; West Coast and Southland, 1.0-1.5 degrees.
