There are two charts comparing concentrations of carbon monoxide and NO2 in Auckland and Christchurch between 1992 and 2001.
The first chart shows carbon monoxide concentrations. Concentrations were significantly higher in Queen St, Auckland, than Packe St, Christchurch. Concentrations in both cities declined significantly over the period, by an average of about 1 milligramme.
The second chart shows NO2 concentrations. Concentrations were higher in Penrose, Auckland, than Packe Street, Christchurch. Over the period concentrations in both areas increased, with a steeper increase in Auckland.
