Text description of figure
There are two charts showing concentrations of benzene in the Bay of Plenty in 2000 and 2001. The first chart shows quarterly measurements of benzene at various locations. Concentrations were generally below 3 microgrammes per cubic metre, except at the Mt Maunganui industrial area, where concentrations were over 5 microgrammes per cubic metre.
The second chart shows how the average benzene concentrations measured in the Bay of Plenty compared to the current and 2010 guidelines. All concentrations were well below the current guideline, but the concentrations at the Mt Maunganui industrial area were over the 2010 guideline.
