There are two charts showing concentrations of benzene measured in Auckland in 2002. The first chart compares the annual average concentrations of benzene at various locations in Auckland against the current and 2010 guidelines. All measurements were below the 2010 guideline except those at Khyber Pass, which exceeded the current guideline of 10 microgrammes per cubic metre by nearly 2 microgrammes.
The second chart shows measurements of benzene taken at various locations in Auckland over 2002, averaged by month. The highest concentrations (by a factor of three) were at Khyber Pass, with concentrations in July reaching 16 microgrammes per cubic metre.
