Text description of figure
There are two charts measuring SO2 concentrations at Penrose, Auckland. The first chart measures one-hour S02 concentrations for each month of 2001. Concentrations were highest in the winter months with a sharp drop in the number of “Excellent” readings (from 90% to about 30%).
The second chart measures 24-hour concentrations from 1992 to 2001 Concentrations began low (almost all measurements being “Excellent”), but increased steadily from 1996 to 1999, when most measurements were only “Good”. Measurements improved in 2000 and 2001.
