Text description of figure

There are four charts measuring CO concentrations in Christchurch.

The first two charts measure one-hour and 8-hour CO concentrations at Hornby, Christchurch, from 1995 to 2001. The 8-hour concentrations have improved over the period until almost all measurements were “Excellent” in 2001. One-hour concentrations have been consistently “Excellent” throughout the period.

The second two charts measure one-hour and 8-hour CO concentrations at Beckenham from 1995 to 1997. Air quality increased over the period, and in 1997 readings were almost entirely “Excellent”.
