There is a chart showing 24-hour concentrations of PM10 in Hamilton from 1998 to 2001, Tokoroa between 1999 and 2001, Te Kuiti in 1998, and Taupo in 2001.
In Hamilton concentrations were mostly in the 'good' category, increasing from about 60 per cent at the start of the period, to about 75 per cent at the end. Proportions of concentrations in the 'alert' category remained constant through period, at about 2-3 per cent.
In Tokoroa concentrations were mostly 'acceptable', with about 8 per cent over the guideline, and about ten per cent in the 'alert' category.
In Te Kuiti concentrations were mostly in the 'good' category at 60 per cent, with only about 2 per cent in the 'alert' category.
In Taupo about half the concentrations were in the 'good' category, 35 per cent were 'acceptable', about 15 per cent in the 'alert' category, and around 2 per cent of concentrations were over the guideline.
