Text description of figure

This figure has two charts comparing PM10 concentrations measured using a high-volume sampler and those measured using a TEOM at Takapuna, Auckland.

The first chart shows data from October to March (summer). Generally, the two methods record the same results at levels under 10 µgm3. For readings above 10 µgm3 there are growing disparities in measurements between the two methods. From 10 to 20 µgm3 the high volume readings are approximately 2 to 5 µgm3 lower than the TEOM readings. For measurements above 20 µgm3 the disparities increase from 10 to 15 µgm3, following no discernible pattern.

The second chart shows data from April to September (winter). There is an evident and reasonable correlation (R²=0.82) between the different measurement methods.
