Ministry on the road again

In October, the Ministry’s Talk Environment Roadshow hit the road on a 13-day tour, holding meetings with the public and local government in 18 cities and towns.

Group meeting

Around 1,200 people
attended this year’s
road show.

The roadshow meetings make us aware of what is happening around the country and help us ensure we are addressing environment issues, says Secretary for the Environment, Hugh Logan.

Ministry staff facilitated discussions with members of the public, local businesses and local government. The main topics covered during the meetings were: adapting to climate change, national guidance under the Resource Management Act, sustainable business, and household sustainability. Notes from discussions will be posted on the Ministry’s website by mid-December.
