Drafting instructions were completed subject to timeframes set in the Government's Legislative Programme.
All outputs were delivered to the Ministers' specifications. Orders in Council and regulations were intra vires and in accordance with principal statutes.

The business model implemented to maximise the performance of the funds has been in place for a full year now. This model has enabled the capture of stakeholder expectations and the translation of those expectations into delivery processes. The processes put in place in the last year ensure effective monitoring and management of performance expectations and highlight the likelihood and severity of risks associated with performance.
The strategic context of the funds has been developed and operational enhancements have been introduced to ensure consistency across the funds with that strategic context. With the emphasis on community participation the levels of monitoring and reporting have been enhanced to enable that participation to take place while minimising the risks.
Achieved. The Sustainable Management Fund administered 65 existing projects and allocated a further $1,974,328 for 12 new initiatives selected from 123 original applications for funding. These new initiatives included a range of community projects aimed at changing behaviour and managing resources.
Achieved. The Landcare Trust have provided advice and support to landcare groups at a 'one-on-one' level and through field days, training workshops, identifying resources, developing action plans etc. Collaboration in the advancement of sustainable land management and research has been achieved through raising awareness and knowledge exchange thus co-ordinating the effects of research providers and research users. This has been achieved through a number of means such as newsletters, workshops and field days. Relationships have been developed and enhanced with local authorities through working in partnership on various local and national projects.
Achieved. One payment was made to the one remaining Residual Catchment Works project for $2,500,000.
