The Ngā Whenua Rāhui Fund supports conservation projects by tangata whenua groups.
The DOC Community Fund - Pūtea Tautiaki Hapori is designed to inspire and enable community-led conservation work. The fund is directed at practical on-the-ground projects.
The Nature Heritage Fund provides contestable finance for projects that protect ecosystems of high ecological value on private land either by direct purchase or covenant.

Energy Efficiency and Conservation Authority (EECA)
EECA administer a number of funding schemes and programmes for renewable energy and energy efficiency projects. For more information refer to the EECA website.
Ministry for Primary Industries (MPI)
The Sustainable Farming Fund supports projects that contribute to the economic, social and environmental viability of farmers, growers, foresters and their wider rural communities.
The Sustainable Land Management and Climate Change Research Programme helps the agriculture and forestry sectors with the challenges arising from climate change. Each year MPI approves a number of priority topics.
The Irrigation Acceleration Fund primarily supports regional rural water harvesting, storage, and distribution infrastructure.
The Sustainable Land Management Hill Country Erosion Programme helps protect erosion-prone hill country. It provides leadership and targeted support to regional and unitary councils.
