Tauranga

Tauranga has LoveNZ recycling bins at the following locations:

• Bayfair Shopping Centre – food court area
• Bayfair Shopping Centre – customer service centre
• Bayfair Shopping Centre – outdoor locations
• Bayfair Shopping Centre – lower level car park.

The bins in Tauranga take the following material:

• plastic bottles
• glass
• paper
• cans
• shrinkwrap (internal bins only)
• organic waste (internal bins only).

Tauranga City Council provides free recycling drop-offs at both its transfer stations. They accept:

• paper and cardboard
• plastics 1 & 2
• glass bottles and jars
• steel/tin and aluminium cans
• ferrous and non-ferrous metals
• car batteries
• clothing and textiles.

The transfer stations are located at:

• Maleme Street Transfer Station
• Maleme Street
• Greerton
• Tauranga
• Te Maunga Transfer Station
• Truman Lane
• Te Maunga
• Mt Maunganui.
