Biosolids to Land

In August 2003, the New Zealand Water and Waste Association (NZWWA) released "Guidelines for the Safe Application of Biosolids to Land in New Zealand". The Guidelines were produced by a Steering Committee, which, amongst others, included representatives of the Ministries of Environment, Health, and Agriculture and Forestry.

The guidelines contain information and recommendations to assist producers, dischargers and regulators (regional councils) to manage the discharge of biosolids to land.
