The Map provided shows the course of the Oreti river, flowing from it's source in the Thomson Mountains to it's confluence with the Foveaux Straight at the New River estuary near Invercargill.

The Map also shows the features specifically referred to in the order. These features are, from North to South, The forks, Ashton Burn, Lincoln Hill, Three Kings, Windley River, Starvation Creek, Weydon Burn, Rocky Point and Wallacetown Bridge.
